In celebrating Women’s History Month, it is important to reflect on the challenges and opportunities that African women have gone through as they struggle to better their lives and that of their families, societies, countries and the continent as a whole. What have the women from the African continent achieved in their movement? What are their major concerns? What challenges still lie ahead of African women? Hosted by Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Florence Ebila, this talk will point out and honor some of the women who have been behind these struggles for women’s liberation in selected African countries.

This event is free and open to the public.
