Trapper Wrestling Bounces Back On Road Trip
Bouncing back on the road last weekend the Northwest College wrestling team earned a pair of dual victories over Northeastern Junior College and Otero Junior College in Sterling, Colorado, before finishing the trip at the Younes Hospitality Open at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

Merritt And Rogers Named Heart of a Champion Winners In Honor Of Former Coach Jay Collins
Two Wyoming recruits and returning sophomores were honored with the second annual Heart of a Champion award on Friday night. Star Valley’s Kolter Merritt was named the Trapper men’s winner and Pinedale’s Roxanne Rogers was named the women’s winner.

Trapper Women Split Home Openers
The Northwest College women’s basketball team split its first two home games of the season during the Coach Collins Heart of a Champion Memorial Classic at Cabre Gym. A disappointing third quarter on Friday led to a 74-65 loss to Western Nebraska before the Trappers rebounded and blew out Bismarck State College on Saturday 98-48.

Northwest College Men Earn First Win
A difficult second half on Friday prevented the Northwest College men’s basketball team from starting the home schedule perfect during the Coach Collins Heart of a Champion Memorial Classic. Northwest dropped its first contest 89-72 to Western Nebraska before defeating Bismarck State College 88-80 on Saturday to earn the team’s first win of the season.

Trappers Fall In Top 10 Matchup
The No. 8-ranked Northwest College wrestling team fell in an early season test against defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Western Wyoming in Rock Springs 50-3 on Saturday.
