Photographic Communications

Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS)

Northwest College offers a two-year curriculum for an Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis to prepared students for a career as a professional commercial photographer. Successful students will master the technical aspects of the camera, darkroom, digital imaging production and advanced studio lighting.

Graduates of the Photographic Communications program are employed primarily in the Northwest Rocky Mountain area but many of our graduates are represented in commercial studios and enterprises throughout the country. Employment opportunities include commercial portraiture, studio illustration, photojournalism, digital imaging, video production and web design, integrative multi-media design, digital color management, public relations, aerial photography, freelance photography and much more.
