Carisa French has been teaching music for 23 years. She has taught choir and private voice at the beginning, high school, and collegiate level. She has taught piano lessons as well as children’s music classes over the years. Carisa has also directed four musicals, and been the vocal coach for nine musicals. One of her specialties has been to successfully prepare students for various vocal auditions. She has been an accompanist for vocal and instrumental soloists, choral productions, and musical productions.
Carisa got her Bachelor of Music and Secondary teaching certificate from Utah State University in May of 2000. She is the mother of six wonderful daughters, and married to Wade French who also teaches music and performs in the area. Carisa has taught at Snow College in Utah, Logan High School, North Sanpete High School, and Rawlins High School. She has taught privately in Oregon, Utah, Missouri, and Wyoming.
Carisa enjoys performing locally whenever time permits. She is a member of the Cody Music Club and the Cody Community Theatre. Since 1992, she has performed with 11 choirs as a choral member, soloist, and chamber singer, and had the privilege of singing under the direction of 10 wonderful musicians. In addition to group singing, she took 10 years of private vocal study with 4 vocalists while attending Snow College, TVCC in Oregon, Utah State University, and University of Utah.
