The Northwest Civic Orchestra continues to serve the Big Horn Basin of northwest Wyoming as a performance outlet for local musicians and a source of orchestral music in live performance.
The orchestra is comprised of musicians from across the Basin and from southern Montana as well as music students from Northwest College. They rehearse each Thursday evening and give 2-4 concerts each year.
Every other year, the orchestra sponsors the Wyoming Young Artist Competition. Winners from three categories receive cash prizes and the opportunity to perform with the orchestra.
