Northwest College's Outdoor Education & Recreation Leadership Department is lead by Keith McCallister. Before coming to NWC in 2003, Keith worked with programs throughout the country guiding and teaching expereintial education. Keith has taught in the outdoor field for over 15 years with programs such as the National Outdoor Leadership School, Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, Bloomsburg University, University of Northern Colorado, and Kent Mountain Adventure Center. His personal travels have taken him from the New Hamphsire to Georgia and coast to coast climbing in Yosemite, Mt. Rainier, Rocky Mountain, and Acadia National Parks.  He has also lead programs such as climbing, mountaineering and more to locations such as Pico de Orizaba in Mexico Scotland.
In his spare time, Keith enjoys getting outdoors as much as possible with his wife Nicole and Banff, their Eskie, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, and riding, as well as photographing the great outdoors.
