There are two climbing locations in Shell Canyon. The first is called the Shroud. At the top of the canyon just after Shell Falls there is a small parking area. From the parking area follow the drainage down tot he north and just across the river you will see the ice. This is a great beginner area offering grade 2 ice. The second area you can see from the road. There are 5 waterfalls visible from grade 2+ to 4 with relativley short and easy approaches. when the climbs first come into view there will be a USFS trailhead parking area for Post Creek on the south side of the road, pull into that parking area and follow the trails back up to the climbing. To reach Shell Canyon head to Greybull and follow Rt 14 west up the canyon. The climbs will be about 20-30 minutes from Greybull.
