NWC Show Team

The Northwest College Show Team gives students the opportunity to experience the art of livestock fitting and showing, as well as livestock marketing, salesmanship, and advertising.  Students are offered this broad spectrum of opportunities to enhance their understanding of livestock and livestock marketing in an ever-changing business.  The Show team has been an integral part of the Northwest College Agriculture Department for over ten years.  The main goal of the team is to provide students with the opportunities to meet influential people within the livestock industry, teach them the feeding and fitting techniques in order to be successful, and most importantly, expose them to new and different ways to advertise, display, and promote livestock to the best of their ability.

The NWC Show Team hosts a Club Pig Sale in April and organizes the NWC Trapper Showdown, which is a prospect show for cattle, sheep, and hogs in June.  They also help host the Livestock Judging contest at the NILE in Billings, MT in October and they exhibit a pen of club calves at the Arizona National every year.

Students are responsible for the feeding, fitting, showing, pen and animal displays, as well as the communication and marketing preparations of these animals.
