POWELL, Wyo. - In addition to holiday parties, home-baked cookies and gift exchanges, the December list of to-do’s isn’t truly complete until end-of-year tax planning is taken care of. That’s according to Janci Baxter who will discuss last-minute tax moves at the Tuesday, Dec. 17, Business Buzz.

An attorney and certified public accountant, Baxter will present her top year-end tax tips, talk about how to plan for a CPA appointment, and offer a preview of what to expect tax-wise in 2014. In addition to her law and CPA practices, Baxter also teaches business law as an adjunct faculty member at Northwest College.

Her presentation, “Dust off the Shoe Box: End-of-Year Tax Planning,” begins at 7:30 a.m. at the NWC Center for Training and Development, located at 1397 Fort Drum Drive on the NWC West Campus.

The program is free and includes a complimentary continental breakfast, but registration is required by Monday, Dec. 16. Register online or call 307-754-6062.

The monthly Business Buzz, sponsored by the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce and Northwest College Center for Training and Development, is offered the third Tuesday of every month. The next program, scheduled Tuesday, Jan. 21, is “A New Resolution: Planning Your Business Year.” More details about this and other upcoming Business Buzz presentations are available online.
