Northwest College Interim President Lisa Watson and Athletic Director Brian Erickson are excited to announce the return of coach Rob Hill to the NWC soccer program that he helped launch 11 years ago.

A familiar face in Big Horn Basin soccer, Hill was originally recruited from the United Kingdom in 2000 as director of coaching for Cody’s upstart Yellowstone Fire soccer program. He eventually coached the teams at Cody High School as well, earning many state championships between the two programs, one at every level he coached.

“We are very excited to bring back Rob Hill as our interim men’s and women’s soccer coach,” Erickson said. “Rob was instrumental in starting the soccer program 11 years ago. In program history, he has the most successful seasons we’ve ever had for the women’s and men’s program.”

Hill’s success as a coach has seen him travel throughout the U.S., competing in four Region IV championships including Hawaii, Utah, Spokane and Denver. He has also coached in Florida at the Three vs. Three National Championships and in Las Vegas as the ODP U-18 coach at the Regional Championships.

During his playing days, Hill competed in two pro and two semi-pro clubs in England. He was a British Universities Finalist while at Manchester Metropolitan University, the equivalent of America's NCAA Division I finals.

He holds a bachelor's degree with dual majors in physical education and history.

“Rob is a familiar face and he understands how important our student-athletes are for our campus and our local community,” Watson said. “He recruits student-athletes that are successful on the field and in the classroom. We are very fortunate to welcome him back to NWC and have a coach of his caliber take over our soccer programs.”
