P O W E L L, W y o. - Northwest College's Photography Program draws students from around the country and then sends them to far-off places around the world to practice their art. The best images captured this year by those students will be displayed beginning Tuesday, March 18, in Northwest Gallery. The Juried Student Photo Show opens with an artists' reception at 7:30 p.m.

The show is an annual event with representative samples of the photography career options offered at Northwest, including photojournalism, portraiture, fashion photography, and product and advertising photography.

It was juried by NWC photography faculty members Gary Bakken, Craig Satterlee, Steve G. Smith and J.L. "Woody" Wooden. Dr. Bob Dowling judged the show.

During the opening reception, the NWC Trustees' Purchase Awards will be announced and students represented in the show will be on hand to talk about their works.

The show hangs through Friday, April 11. Northwest Gallery, located in the Cabre Building, is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
