P O W E L L, W y o. - If your idea of fine campfire cooking is a hot dog followed by a roasted marshmallow, the Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development has a class for you.

Campfire Cooking, a six-hour, hands-on course will be held behind Cassie's Supper Club on Saturday, April 26. Beginning at 9 a.m., participants will learn to make stew, smoked salmon, cornbread, pizza, biscuits, beans, rotisserie chicken, cobbler and popcorn over a campfire.

Instructor Linda Rogers invites friends and family of participants to enjoy the results at a generous food sampling starting at 2 p.m.

Participants must prepay by Wednesday, April 23, and are encouraged to bring containers to class to take home the leftovers.

The whole day will be repeated on Saturday, May 17. Registrations for this class must be made by Wednesday, May 14.

Cost to participants is $75 each, which includes all food supplies. Tasters pay $20 apiece if they're adults; $10 for children under 12.

Because the class size is limited, early registration is encouraged.
