Juried Student Photo Show opens March 21 in Northwest Gallery

Northwest College’s 2017 Juried Student Photo Show opens Tuesday, March 21, with an artists’ reception at 7 p.m. in Northwest Gallery.

The show is an annual event featuring work by students enrolled in the NWC Photographic Communications Program. It contains representative samples of the photography career options offered at Northwest including photojournalism, portraiture, fashion and advertising photography.

During the opening reception, the NWC Trustees’ Purchase Awards will be announced and students represented in the show will be on hand to talk about their works.

This year’s purchase awards were selected by Kevin Kinzley, a 2013 graduate of the NWC Photographic Communications program and owner of Kinzley Photography Fine Art Gallery and Studio in Red Lodge, Montana.  It was juried by faculty and staff in the NWC Photographic Communications Program.

The Juried Student Photo Show will be displayed through Friday, April 7.

Northwest Gallery, located in the Cabre Building on the Northwest College campus in Powell, is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Thursdays from 7-9 p.m.

Admission is free.
