A handshake and signature made all the difference for Northwest College students when Phillip Parnell of the North Dakota University Systems visited campus Wednesday, Oct. 1. Parnell (right) and several NWC officials signed an articulation agreement that guarantees NWC associate of arts and associate of science degrees will transfer to participating North Dakota institutions as a block, fulfilling all general education requirements. Ten North Dakota colleges and universities are participating in the agreement, which was articulated in large part by Brittany Kobbe, Northwest's first-year experience and articulation coordinator. Sher Hruska, NWC's vice president for academic affairs, is shown shaking Parnell's hand, while Dave Erickson, chair of the NWC Social Science and Education Division, and NWC President Paul Prestwich look on.
