POWELL, Wyoming — The Northwest College Forensics Team invites the public to come to campus to view on a large screen the CNN Reagan Library GOP Candidates Debate Wednesday, Sept. 16, and then to participate in an open-forum discussion afterward. The debate will be broadcast at 7 p.m. in the Nelson Performing Arts Center.

CNN anchor and chief Washington correspondent Jake Tapper will moderate the debates in Washington, and members of the NWC Forensics Team will guide the post-debate discussion in Powell. Community members and NWC faculty members will be major voices in the dialogue.

Handouts introducing the candidates will be provided before the program. Anyone who's interested is invited to watch and contribute or just listen to the analysis of the candidates' rhetorical and political strengths and weaknesses.

Candidates must achieve an average of at least 1 percent of support in three recognized national polls before Sept. 10, to be included in the event. Thus far, Nancy Reagan has invited the following candidates to participate: Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, Donald Trump and Scott Walker. They will be divided into two sections that will debate in back-to-back rounds.
