Gale's Global Reference on the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources focuses on the physical, social, and economic aspects of environmental issues. Topic, organization, and country portals form research centers around issues covering energy systems, health care, agriculture, climate change, population, and economic development. Portals include authoritative analysis, academic journals, news, case studies, legislation, conference proceedings, primary source documents, statistics, and rich multimedia. Use Browse Issues and Topics, World Map, Basic Search or Advanced Search to explore the database.

Government resources for preparedness and response.

Gardening, Landscape, and Horticulture Collection provides access to academic journals and magazines focused on both the practical aspects as well as the scientific theory of horticulture studies. The database offers biotechnologists, farmers, hobbyists, and landscape architects alike access to important content relevant to their pursuits.

General OneFile is Gale's largest general-interest database with more than 8,000 titles (most in full text with no embargo), many of which are recommended by Bowker's Magazines for Libraries. We've included the reference, newspaper, and audio content that complements the resource's robust collection of magazines and journals.

General Science Collection provides access to scholarly journals and magazines covering the latest scientific developments. Key subjects covered by the database include biological sciences, computing, engineering, and technology.

Genetics Home Reference provides consumer-friendly information about the effects of genetic variation on human health. GHR is a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), which is part of the National Institutes of Health, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

From Gale, this database provides perspectives on International news, events, health, business, foreign conflict, science, society, politics, women and family and other issues as well as maps, history and other tools.

Note: You may access Grzimek's through Gale Reference (GVRL). In advanced search under "publication title" enter "Grzimek's." This is the standard, premier animal encyclopedia that includes ancillary topics such as biomes, endangered species, prehistoric animals, etc. and media additions (interactive maps, photos, video and audio tracks).

Go to Settings (clicking on the ... in the upper right hand corner) enter "hardware accel" in the search box, then toggle off "Use hardware acceleration when available". Close Chrome and reopen and go to the Kanopy website.

Gale Databases

Nature (London) is accessed through a variety of library databases. Most have a one year embargo; however, the current year is indexed and articles may be requested through interlibrary loan.

Popular Magazines provides access to the most searched magazines across the InfoTrac products. All of the titles are selected based on actual publication searches performed by library patrons and the database includes many titles recommended by Bowker's "Magazines for Libraries".

From ProQuest, a curated collection of sources about the Coronavirus.

Includes Proquest Central. Provided through the Wyoming State Library by the University of Wyoming Library. ProQuest Central is now part of ProQuest One Academic. The largest collection of full text articles available to libraries. ProQuest covers more than 150 subject areas and has full text coverage of the Wall Street Journal and L.A. Times.
