Medical Scribe Training for Allied Health Professionals

The online Medical Scribe Training for Allied Health Professionals program is a self-paced program that you can begin anytime. The approximate time to complete this program is two months. The cost for this program is $1,195.00 and includes the cost of the MSCE exam.

Medical Scribe Professionals are individuals trained in medical documentation who assist a physician throughout hs or her work day. They serve as a personal assistant to doctors to help make them more efficient and productive.

It is estimated that by the year 2020 there will be over 100,000 individuals working as medical scribes and we regularly receive inquiries from doctors' offices, medical clinics and hospitals across the country looking for well-trained, certified scribes. Now is a great time to expand your career by taking on the activities associated with medical scribing!

This expedited program is designed specifically for practicing Allied Health Professionals (medical ranscriptionists/HDS, medical assistants, licensed vocational nurses, technicians, etc.) in the filed of medical scribing.

Students will use their extensive medical knowledge to further their skills in this career opportunity. Starting from the vantage point that each candidate for this program comes to us with a fundamental level of knowledge in Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, English Grammar, Computer Skills, and HIPAA, this course is designed to give you the information and knowledge necessary to handle the activities associated with medical scribing.

Courses which would normally target new scribes (those with no previous healthcare experience) will be waived in this program if the prospective student passes our Medical Scribe Readiness Assessment with a score of 80 or higher.

This program is taught entirely online, however, there are several activities towrds the end of the program whish require one-on-one interaction with the instructor via GoToMeeting. These one-on-one meetings are coordinated with each student individually.

Students who successfully complete this training program are eligible to sit for the National Medical Scribe Certification exam administered by the American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group, Inc.

This course is online and self-paced with instructor feedback and assistance as required. All assignments are module-based and must be completed before progressing to the next module.
