Introduction to Programmable Controllers

This course teaches how to program, operate and interface with programmable controllers and PLC programmable software in a variety of industrial applications. Students learn industry-relevant skills including PLC orientation, operation, motor control, discrete I/O interfacing, event sequencing, application development, timer instructions and counter instructions. Students will learn how to design, program and operate a PLC to control a number of process applications used by industries all over the world.

  • Lab time requirement:  24 hours
  • Online instruction time:  48 hours
  • Prerequisites:  Electrical Control Systems
  • Cost:  $540.00
