Allied Health

  • Apply the fundamentals of specific sciences utilized in the Health Care Field.
  • Prepare students to enter Nursing, Physician Assistant, Emergency, Surgical, Respiratory, Laboratory, Radiology or other Allied Health Program.
  • Demonstrate basic communications and critical thinking skills for professional application.
  • Utilize medical terminology in documentation and discussions.
  • Integrate science and lab application to health and disease conditions.
  • Provide a practical basis to observe client care or service that includes documentation.
  • Apply the skills necessary to interact purposefully and appropriately with colleagues and clients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic health care economics, ethics, change, conflict resolution, career selection and preparation within various Health Care settings.
