Conducted by John S. Herlihy, the Northwestern College Symphonic Band seeks to glorify God in every aspect of their music and life together in Christian community. The Symphonic Band provides both music majors and non-music majors the opportunity to experience and perform a wide variety of classical and contemporary repertoire for the modern wind band.

Featuring regular on-campus performances throughout the year, as well as additional performances in and around the Twin Cities, the band continues in the pursuit of musical excellence, within the environment of a Christian liberal arts education. The Symphonic Band tours annually throughout the United States, and every fourth year, overseas. Most recently, the band traveled internationally to Tasmania and Australia.
