Music at Northwestern

At Northwestern, music students learn from teachers that are still performing in prestigious venues, they find community among their fellow ensembles and classes, and most importantly, learn to worship the Lord through their gifts.

MUSIC HALL OF RECOGNITION nominations: 

We are now accepting nominations for the Department of Music "Music Hall of Recognition," recognizing those individuals who best exhibit the spirit, integrity, and Christian commitment that exemplify Northwestern College and the Department of Music. Individuals eligible for nomination are former music majors and other individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of music and have brought honor to the Department of Music. Past honorees: John L. Benham ('64), inducted Oct. 9, 1999; Kenneth Fenton (Dept Chair 1991-2003) and Bonnevieve Fenton (Asst Prof 1979-96), both inducted Sept. 26, 2009; Pauline Thompson Sateren ('54), inducted Oct. 14, 2000; and Richard Schirmacher ('64), inducted Oct. 5, 2002.
