Residence: Knuha
Hometown: Flushing, MI Undergrad: Business Administration and Sociology from Spring Arbor University, Spring Arbor, MI Favorite Musician: I have a lot of favorites: Bebo Norman, Chris Daughtry, Jars of Clay, Leona Lewis, Colbie Caillat, Eoghan Healslip, Lady Antebellum, Nichole Nordeman, Yo-Yo Ma, Sugarland... What are you passionate about: Getting to know people, honest conversations, learning about cultures, reading, board games, traveling, cooking for others, Favorite memory from your college days: Living with the same 3 women all four years of my time in college. We could truly appreciate one another. The other thing is my semester in the Middle East. Favorite Scripture verse/passage: Isaiah 60:18-20: "No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end." During a dark time in my life, I held onto the promise that God is eternally faithful and will always bring me (and you!) through the hardest of times. What's your vision for Northwestern: That we can be a place that shows God's grace to one another. Also, where we can be free to be ourselves and are appreciated for our uniqueness. What do you love about residence life: The deep relationships that can happen between early classes, shared mealtimes, fun events, and late night conversations. Real transformational life happens in everyday interactions in the residence halls. What piece of advice would you give incoming Northwestern students?
