In addition to taking courses in politics, students can be placed in internships for credit. Students have had internships in both Minnesota state government and in Washington, D.C. Current students are interning in several Congressional offices.
Students at Northwestern can also participate in the American Studies Program, a semester-long residential program on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
