Dr. Charles AlingEgyptologist Dr. Charles Aling interviewed about unrest in Egypt

Feb. 9—The unrest in Egypt raises many concerns about what will happen to the country’s antiquities, some of which have been damaged and stolen from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the world's largest collection of Egyptian treasures.

Professor of History Charles Aling, Ph.D. spoke with Faith Radio’s Neil Stavem about Egypt’s current events and biblical history. Listen to the 8-minute interview.

Dr. Aling is known to some on campus as “Indiana Jones.” He holds a Ph.D. in Ancient History and Egyptology and served as assistant field director in Egypt on excavation projects in the Valley of the Kings. Among other courses, he teaches “History and Archaeology of Ancient Egypt” at Northwestern.
