Minnesota winters are cold. Though to true Minnesotans it’s “a bit chilly” or “time to put on a sweater.” After all, “it could be worse.” You see, people who live here pride themselves on being able to tough out the winter season, and actually learn to enjoy it! Fortunately, here at Northwestern, we have heated underground tunnels leading to and from the main academic buildings. And even those stubborn northerners use them when it’s -30 wind chill.
