August 24—The Department of Music is pleased to announce that the Symphonic Band has been selected to perform at the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA) Midwinter Clinic in February 2012. The daytime concert will be for an audience made up of music educators from across the state and will provide great visibility for NWC and the music department throughout the state. Director of Bands John Herlihy will lead the ensemble group.

The Midwinter Clinic is one of the state's largest arts education conferences and is held each February. The three-day conference features over 100 educational sessions, 35 concerts, and a full service trade show. The conference is attended by over 1,300 music educators and nearly 6,000 people in total.
