June 20– Out of more than 1,000 organizations that were originally pursued, Northwestern College has been named to the StarTribune Top Workplaces 2010 list! Of the 100 companies selected for this honor, Northwestern ranked seventh in the private/nonprofit large organizations category (500+ employees) and 10th overall (large organizations category). In this same category, NWC ranked second for working conditions/culture, and third for managers (employee confidence in competence and direction).
The StarTribune, with help from Workplace Dynamics, conducted a comprehensive analysis of organizations in Minnesota, surveying employees to measure qualities such as company leadership, career opportunities, workplace flexibility, compensation and benefits.
Seventy-four percent of NWC employees participated in this confidential survey in February 2010; NWC had among the highest response rates in the participating organizations. Based on survey results, Northwestern has been selected as a Top 100 Workplace in the Twin Cities metro!
More than 33,000 employees representing participating companies shared their views, and one hundred companies have been selected as Top Workplaces. It is an honor for Northwestern to be acknowledged in our Twin Cities community.
