Apr. 27—Two students from the Northwestern College Christian Center for Communications (CCC), a degree site in Quito, Ecuador, have been awarded scholarships allowing them to complete their bachelor degrees by studying their final year on the St. Paul campus. Daniela Baldeon and Gabriela Estefania Salguero will begin courses this fall 2011 semester.
The Northwestern CCC was established in 2001 in cooperation with HCJB Global and offers a three-year program with an Associate degree in Applied Science and Bible with a specialization in Electronic Media Communication. Over the course of the ten-year partnership, Northwestern has welcomed more than a dozen students from the CCC to complete their bachelor's degrees on campus.
Northwestern continues to develop global education through the CCC, focusing on such programs that are designed to equip Latin American students for effective ministry and work in the electronic media and journalism fields.
