September 13—The widely publicized U.S. News & World Report college rankings have been released, ranking Northwestern College 16th of 97 regional Midwest colleges.
U.S. News rankings are based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, each college’s/university’s mission, majors, programs, faculty research, student retention, financial resources and alumni giving.
Northwestern has increased exponentially in U.S. News rankings, moving up from its prior ranking in the 30s over the past eight years.
Minnesota colleges ranked in the Midwest regional college category include: 16. Northwestern College 51. Martin Luther College 57. Crown College 67. North Central University
Northwestern was also included as a one of 11 Minnesota schools named as an “A-Plus School for B Students,” a list in which U.S. News defines as places where those with an average GPA can succeed.
