The Mel Johnson Media Center is home to the Department of Communication, Northwestern Media and KTIS Radio. Students majoring in journalism, public relations, electronic media, and communication studies will find themselves in the “Mel J” or the “Taj Mel Hall” quite a lot. This modern building opened in 2003 and provides a great environment for hands-on learning. For instance, you can dive right in and host your own radio show on award-winning WVOE-FM, and write for The Column, the award-winning student newspaper.
