Mary Kay Geston selected for two conducting positions in Twin Cities and St. Cloud
Aug. 24 – The Northwestern College Department of Music is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mary Kay Geston, associate professor of music, to two new conducting positions in the Twin Cities and St. Cloud areas.
VOICES OF EXPERIENCE
A Minnesota Chorale-MacPhail Center for Music steering committee has chosen Dr. Geston as conductor of Voices of Experience, a new and artistically ambitious chorus for Twin Cities’ seniors, ages 55 and older. Voices of Experience will make its debut at MacPhail’s Antonello Hall on November 19 at noon. The group will also perform with the Minnesota Chorale and the Minneapolis Youth Chorus—four generations singing side-by-side—as the centerpiece of the Chorale’s 2010 Bridges community-engagement project, Sing On! on November 21 at 3 p.m., at Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Road, St. Louis Park.
