Life 101.9 Radio featured on NBC affiliate, KWWL Iowa
Life 101.9 KNWS, Waterloo, was recently highlighted on KWWL evening news for their unique fundraising effort—in conjunction with their annual fundraiser, the station purchased copies of The Sacred Acre, The Ed Thomas Story to donate to local detention centers and jails.
For every $1,000 that the total donation increased, two copies of the book The Sacred Acre were distributed. The station raised and estimated $108,000 which totaled a donation of 216 books. The station hopes the books will have a positive influence, possibly making a difference in the lives of jail mates.
"If someone in a jail somewhere reads this and turns their life around and understands the importance of faith and God that Ed Thomas exemplified then that's how God turns tragedy into triumph," said Doug Smith, Life 101.9 Station Manager.
Life 101.9 and Faith 1090 are a part of the Northwestern Media Network, owned and operated by Northwestern College. Northwestern’s Radio ministry exists to lead people to Christ and nurture believers in their spiritual growth through Christ-centered media.
