What’s the most important thing you’ve learned from NWC?

I’ve gained a biblical worldview that I plan to carry with me into the world of media. God’s grace became real to me at Northwestern; I learned how to fully rely on Him.

What are your plans after graduation?

I’m getting married this summer and moving to New York, where my husband will go to graduate school, and where I hope to get a job in broadcasting.

How, specifically, has NWC prepared you for your future?

I was able to jump right in as a freshman. During a recent internship, I put my biblically founded broadcasting skills to work and saw how I could handle the real world.

Who is your most influential professor and why?

Professor Allen Cree opened my eyes to the beauty of the Psalms during my sophomore year in his Selected Psalms class. His passion for the Word was inspiring.

What is something you’ll always remember about NWC?

I’ll always remember the community of believers here. The feeling you get when you become a part of the “family” is definitely due to the presence of the Lord on campus—you can just feel it.

How have you, as a person, seen yourself change over the years at NWC?

I went from a boy-crazy girl to a young woman striving after the truth of the Gospel. God went from being a big part of my life to becoming the only reason I do what I do and am who I am.
