English Minors

The English Department offers five minors:

English Minor – 20 credits

  • One writing course (ENG)
  • One literature course (LIT)
  • Additional credits from courses with ENG, LIT or LTH prefix.

*ENG1105, 1825, 2205 and 2825 are NOT options. See the catalog for descriptions.

Linguistics Minor

Select 16 additional credits from ENG-prefix Topics in Linguistics; ENG2227, 3125; ESL3215, 3315; may select a maximum of 8 credits from SIL-UND including SIL4500, 4520; choice of one from SIL4510, 4800, 5100.

Prerequisite to graduate with a linguistics minor: competency through first year of foreign language.
