Assessments

The Center for Calling & Career offers a variety of assessments to help you discover more about how God designed you. Like a snapshot, each assessment reveals one angle of your uniqueness and provides a good starting place for exploring options and career direction.

Listed below are the assessments available through the CCC office. For more information or to take an assessment, call 651-631-5265.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ($15.00)*

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is one of the most widely used personality assessments in the world. It helps a person identify in-born personality preferences related to how you focus your attention, acquire information, make decisions, and orient yourself toward the world.

This assessment is taken online in about 20 minutes, and can be an invaluable tool in understanding yourself and your unique design. After taking the MBTI, you will meet with a Career Counselor to go over your results, as well as receive a written report to keep.

Strong Interest Inventory ($15.00)*

The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) assists in identifying your patterns of interest and then compares your interests to those of successful people in a variety of occupations. The results are based on interests only, not on aptitude or ability, and can be helpful in clarifying the areas of your greatest passion. This inventory may suggest occupations that you might find interesting, but have not considered yet.

The SII is taken online and can generally be completed within 30-45 minutes. You will then meet with a Career Counselor to discuss the results, as well as receive a written report.

StrengthsFinder ($15.00)*

As part of the Gallup StrengthsQuest program, the Clifton StrengthsFinder Assessment gives you the opportunity to discover your greatest natural talents and potential for building strengths. Understanding your areas of talent can help you achieve greater academic success and create career options that are aligned with the ways that God has made you.

The StrengthsFinder is taken online in about 20 minutes. You will work with a Northwestern Career Counselor to connect and apply your results to your current academic and career interests. You will receive written and online results as well as access to continued online Strengths information and resources.

*Fees can be charged to your student account or paid by cash or check to Northwestern College
