Describe your job responsibilities:
I manage the internal audit department audits; lead, train and develop staff; interact with management and prepare communications to senior management and the Audit Committee to report audit activities on a regular basis.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The ability to interact with management and to develop staff on a regular basis.

How did Northwestern prepare you for the responsibilities and challenges of your job?
The professors interacted with me in a manner that demonstrated genuine interest but also challenged me to ensure I was giving my best work. This has helped me as I progressed in my career to ensure I gave my work my best effort, but also in my role as a leader of people to employ the same methods with my staff.

Why did you choose Northwestern?
I wanted a Christian college education and fell in love with the campus and the environment while on a visit.

How did you see yourself develop at Northwestern? And how to you integrate that now in your career?
I went through life changes while a student at Northwestern (meeting and marrying my husband). I was challenged in ethical and theological discussions in many classes and this has helped me have more of a basis for my faith as I interact in the business world and with my family on a regular basis. I use the strategies and thought processes that I was taught at NWC to make me a better leader.

What did you enjoy most about Northwestern?
I enjoyed the friendships that I built as well as the interaction I had with my professors. The education I received has truly prepared me for a career in the business world, and I go back to principles I was taught on a regular basis.

Why is Northwestern a good place to study business?
The challenging classes are based on biblical principles, which is invaluable from a learning perspective to integrate your faith with your knowledge in the business community.
