Faculty Accomplishments--a few highlights:

  • Liz Compton presented “Aesthetic Properties: Dispositional & Qualitative” at the Northwestern Philosophy Conference, a general regional philosophy conference held in early November 2011.
  • Courtney Friesen passed his preliminary written and oral exams in the Classics program at the University of Minnesota; he is now a doctoral candidate.
  • David Luick completed his Ph.D. coursework at South African Theological Seminary, and his preliminary research proposal has been accepted. He will be working on the fuller proposal and anticipates starting on the dissertation in January 2012.
  • Brad Sickler’s Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy article on "Conflicts Between Science and Religion" is now linked at Notre Dame’s Center for Philosophy of Religion page in the “Introductory Articles into the Philosophy of Religion” section.
