HELP US PUT THE NEXT PILOT TOGETHER!The theme of the Spring/Summer 2010 Pilot will cover the second two of Northwestern's four pillars: Focused on Community, featuring NWC's strong focus on being a Christ-centered community, and Engaged in the World, which is about reaching out to make a difference for Christ in our world. To fully share what these pillars mean for Northwestern, we need alumni voices and stories! From the very first Northwestern graduate, alumni like you have been engaging their sphere of influence for Jesus Christ--on the mission field or your own backyard. Whether you are a missionary, a business leader, a stay-at-home mom, a musician, a pastor, a teacher, a writer, a scientist, an artist, or even unemployed right now, you have an influence on your "world." Maybe you engage the world through your career or maybe you're involved in reaching out beyond your "professional" life. Whatever it is you do or however you do it, we want to hear about it! We'd love to hear your thoughts (in writing) in response the following: - How do you personally define "engaged in the world"?
- What does the phrase "engaged in the world" mean for you as you approach and engage your "world"
- What does "engaged in the world" look like in your area?
- How did your Northwestern education prepare you to be "engaged in the world."
If you have a story to share, please write your response to the above in 250 words or less and submit to alumni@nwc.edu. Some submissions may be published in the Pilot and/or on the NWC website on a space-available basis. Submissions may be edited for clarity and brevity.
