By working 10–15 hours weekly, students typically can earn between $2,000 to $3,500 at an on-campus job per academic year. There are more than 400 on-campus jobs available for students.
Balancing studies, work, and other activities can sometimes be a challenge. Typically a student will work between 8–15 hours per week. It is recommended that student employees limit their work to no more than 25 hours per week when classes are in session and no more than 40 hours per week when classes are not in session.
Work Study Students who qualify for need-based aid can apply for government subsidized student employment called work study. Eligibility for work study is determined through the financial aid process. Being eligible for work study does not automatically guarantee employment, nor does it guarantee that the student will receive a certain amount of funds.
