Journalism students will learn the skills needed to communicate stories in newspapers, television or on the web. Students gain experience as writers or editors for the school paper, The Column, and will graduate from Northwestern with a portfolio of news articles, features, editorials and reviews and knowledge about press law, photo journalism, journalism history and professional standards and ethics.

Student newspaper wins national award
After traveling to the EPA convention in Chicago, which provides students with the opportunity to connect to professional journalists and learn more about the field of Christian press, Northwestern’s student newspaper, The Column, received an Award of Merit.
