    Homeschool Students

Be a part of a community that welcomes and understands the homeschool experience.

Nearly 10% of our student body graduated from high school as a homeschooled student, so you’ll fit right in!

    Steps to Enroll

All students applying to NWC for the first time must complete the following:

     1. Complete the Application for Admission

    • Enclose your $20 application fee (fee waived if you apply before November 1, 2010)

    2. Distribute your reference forms

    3. Submit official transcripts

    4. Send us your ACT or SAT test scores
International students only: Send your TOEFL scores

Who should fill out my Academic Reference?

This form must be completed by someone other than your parents and the person completing the spiritual reference. You can use adults from your homeschool cooperative, church, work, etc.

How do you handle high school transcripts?

Northwestern prefers a high school transcript that lists your completed courses by date and the grades earned in each course. A final high school transcript with a graduation date and the signature of your adult supervisor is required.

Should I take the ACT or SAT?

The database that we use is the ACT, so we prefer to receive your ACT test scores. But we will accept the SAT. However, the SAT does not give us the percentiles we need to meet scholarship needs.
