Students discuss being part of award-winning WVOE and its state-of-the-art facilities.
The electronic media communication (EMC) major helps students develop practical skills in the fields of broadcasting and electronic media. Students learn by using top of the line equipment and software that will have them familiar with current media technology.
Northwestern College has a legacy of using broadcast technology for ministry, and students will develop a critical understanding of electronic media and its relationship to faith in the world.
Named for Matthew 5:16, the Five16 Film Festival showcases the work of NWC student filmmakers in the categories of comedy, drama, music video and animation. Students' films are judged by Northwestern faculty, alumni, and film professionals from around the country.
WVOE receives NRB college radio station of the year award
For the third year in a row, WVOE received NRB top honors when it was given the college radio station of the year award, an incredible honor which is presented to an outstanding student -operated radio station in which professional involvement must have been limited to advising and teaching students how to operate the station.
“I enjoy my Electronic Media Communication major because I like keeping up with all the technological changes that are happening and you can't beat the awesome professors we have here at NWC!”
