The Children and Family Ministry major prepares students to work with children and their families to nurture faith development. Emphasis is on understanding the developing child in the context of the family as primary spiritual nurturers. Graduates will be able to establish, develop and evaluate a ministry to children and families in the church or parachurch and/or continue in seminary or graduate study.
"The [ministry] classes at Northwestern are giving me the opportunity to learn through experience and relevant teaching. I think that learning by doing is far better than sitting in a class and learning about how to do something."
