Welcome to the Northwestern College Academy of Music!
The Academy of Music is a music program sponsored by the Northwestern College Department of Music. The Academy provides private lessons, group music lessons and ensembles for all ages in a Christian environment taught by Northwestern College students, graduates and faculty.
Our goal is to provide a supportive and enriching learning environment in which each student can develop a greater understanding and appreciation of music to the glory of God. The academy is committed to providing quality music instruction by highly qualified faculty and trained music students from Northwestern College.

The Do, Re, for Me! music camp (June 11-15) is for those between 3-9 years old who wish to experience music, perhaps for the first time, in a creative and interactive format. Students will discover nature and the music it makes by exploring the outdoors as well as spend time in the classroom listening, singing, moving and playing instruments.
A new addition to our summer camp offerings this year is Do, Re, for Me! Deluxe (June 11-15) for children who are 9-12 years old. This inspiring camp will focus on the fine arts with learning experiences in music, art, drama, and dance, complete with instruments, materials, staging, and costumes! The camp will conclude with a finale performance on Friday.
The Northwestern Piano Institute (July 23-28) is designed for those between 11-18 years old who wish to take their piano playing abilities to the next level. Students will be challenged, motivated, and encouraged in their piano studies while enjoying the companionship of other students who share the same love for the piano.
After a successful first year the Academy will welcome the Show Choir Summer Camp to return! Taking place the week of July 9-13, this camp will include choreography, musical rehearsals, and vocal coaching and conclude each day with a large group rehearsal session. Students will also receive a complimentary T-shirt for the final exciting performance.
