July 31-August 4, 2017
Ages 14-16 years old
Experience the outdoors while living and traveling in the wilderness with our experienced guides. Campers will learn about low impact travel, wilderness survival techniques, backcountry cooking, campsite selection, tent construction, map and compass use, and leave no trace principles. In the process we will develop important life skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team work. The first day will be spent at the Northwest College Field Station where campers will get the opportunity to run through the high ropes course. The next four days will be spent exploring the Beartooth Wilderness and learning important skills. Campers will hike an average of 4-6 miles a day. All equipment and food will be provided by Northwest College; however, you may choose to use your own equipment.
Campers will meet at 8am Monday morning in front of the Cabre Gym at Northwest College in Powell and will return by 4pm Friday afternoon.
To register please fill out all four forms required.
*Half of camp cost is due at time of registration.
