HLC Accreditation: 2017 Comprehensive Review

Northwest College’s Accreditation Steering Committee invites employees and students to review/comment on NWC’s Assurance Argument drafts in preparation for reaccreditation with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Drafts are presented according to each of the HLC’s five criteria presented below. Your comments may be added at the bottom of each draft. A college login is required. Drafts for each criterion will be posted when they’re ready so that in coming months, employees and students have an opportunity to review drafts for all five criteria before the finalized Assurance Argument is submitted to the HLC this summer. The HLC’s campus visit is scheduled for September 11-12, 2017.

HLC criteria are as follows.

  • Criterion 1 – Mission
  • Criterion 2 – Integrity: Ethical and Responsible Conduct
  • Criterion 3 – Teaching and Learning: Quality, Resources, and Support
  • Criterion 4 – Teaching and Learning: Evaluation and Improvement
  • Criterion 5 – Resources, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness

We hope you’ll provide any feedback that you think will be useful to NWC’s Accreditation Steering Committee, whose members are listed below.
