POWELL, Wyo. - The public is invited to an evening of culture and fun at African Night Thursday, Feb. 6, from 7-9 p.m. in the DeWitt Student Center on the Northwest College Campus.

Students will introduce their African culture through a multimedia presentation of images, traditional dress, cuisine and music.

Including Madagascar and various island groups, Africa is the world’s second largest continent, covering six percent of the Earth’s total surface and accounting for about 15 percent of the world’s population.

The variety of African cultures, music and languages is as vast as the continent is big. This program will showcase Central and South Africa, focusing specifically on the countries of Congo, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria and Zambia.

The free program is sponsored by NWC’s Multicultural Club, Intercultural Programs, Diversity Awareness Committee and Student Senate.
