Seminars on starting your own business and digital cameras offered Nov. 13 and 14 in Cody

P O W E L L, W y o. - The Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development will offer two short seminars for area residents interested in starting their own business or learning more about digital cameras. Advance registration for both programs is required by Monday, Nov. 12.

Start Your Own Business, offered from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, is designed to help prospective business owners get help with the basics of business start-up. Participants will look at business planning, advertising and marketing, research and resources, and also learn where to go for funding. Cost is $10 per person. This program is co-sponsored by the Wyoming Small Business Development Center, which is a partnership program funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Wyoming Business Council, and the University of Wyoming.

The second seminar, Up Close and Personal: Using Digital Cameras, meets Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6-8 p.m. Chris Gimmeson, photography department manager at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and 1994 NWC photography graduate, will show participants the common features of digital cameras, hints and tips on taking good photos, and information on software used to enhance and manipulate digital images. Cost is $15.
