POWELL, Wyoming ─ Area residents interested in providing input as Northwest College develops plans to renovate the DeWitt Student Center (DSC) are invited to a 6 p.m. public meeting Tuesday, Oct. 25, on campus.

The meeting is in the Yellowstone Building Conference Center on Seventh Street.

As part of the state’s level-one capital construction planning process, NWC selected Plan One/Architects of Cody this spring to create an architectural plan for potential DSC renovation in the future, according to Lisa Watson, NWC vice president for administrative services and finance.

"Tuesday’s meeting is an opportunity for interested area residents to provide input on various renovation alternatives for what is one of NWC’s oldest buildings," Watson said. “We’re proceeding with initial architectural plans in order to meet state timelines and requirements for capital construction. Level-one planning is only the first step in what can be a multi-year process with the State of Wyoming. No funding options have been identified for the project at this time but will be developed as the project proceeds.”

The DSC, which houses the student Dining Hall, Bookstore, Einstein Bros Bagels, Seventh Street Grille, Residence Life offices and other student spaces, is one of the top two projects in the college’s Facilities Master Plan.
