Popular 101 series continues with Nov. 11 intellectual property webinar

POWELL, Wyo. - The Northwest College Centers for Training and Development in Cody and Powell continue their popular 101 series Wednesday, Nov. 11, with a one-hour "Intellectual Property 101: Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks and Trade Secrets" webinar at 9 a.m.

Davona Douglass, director of the Wyoming Research Products Center, will present basic information about the different kinds of intellectual property and the differences between them. She'll talk about recognizing and identifying intellectual property, how to protect new ideas and how to register intellectual property.

Douglass, who holds a juris doctorate, assists with the intellectual property and licensing needs of Wyoming inventors and entrepreneurs through her office at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
